Invited to be a guest speaker and host an event for Notion New York, titled “Curating Everyday Joy.” It was a privilege to be in conversation with Yina Huang whose insight and curiosity made for such a thoughtful fireside chat. Grateful to Josiah Forgath and Josh Stark, CTS-I for the incredible support and collaboration behind the scenes.
The evening reflected a few things I care deeply about—joyful design, emerging tech, AI, education, and community. Notion became a trusted tool during my last summer in the Bay Area, and has since become my personal knowledge hub, helping me stay rooted in the swirl of life in New York.
At the event, I shared how I use Notion to map out long-term goals, track micro-habits, keep tabs on favorite restaurants, and organize daily life. It was also my first time doing a live build for both beginner and intermediate users—an experience that pushed me out of my comfort zone in the best way.
The energy at Fabrik in Dumbo, Brooklyn in Dumbo was electric. We welcomed creators, entrepreneurs, and curious minds, and thanks to the incredible community, it turned out to be Notion New York and Fabrik’s biggest event yet.
One moment that stayed with me was reflecting on how tools like Notion are being used in mission-driven ways—especially by organizations like The Knowledge House in the Bronx. It’s a reminder of the quiet power digital tools can have in expanding access and agency.
To the 120 people who attended, shared thoughtful feedback, and contributed to us hitting (and surpassing)our capacity through Luma. Thank you
Also, for those who asked about my templates and digital assets—thank you too for the kind words! Feel free to reach out, and I’d be happy to chat more privately.
Here’s to building with intention and curating joy along the way.
